Unseen

There were a few things I was looking to achieve when I started working on this piece.  I love how exquisitely all the check boxes were met.  

• Gold - I almost always work with gold with my calligraphic art to pay tribute to the ancient qur'anic manuscripts written with real gold.  In this case, I used an elegant champagne gold.  
• Modern - A piece that will appeal to the contemporary design aesthetic and will compliment current day décor, combined with textured knife work.  
• Inconspicuous - To represent the nature of my lovely subject - Allah (SWT). He is there, albeit Unseen.  He is always there, whether we are choosing to view Him or not.  I photographed this in different lightings to show that effect - for the Momineen (Believers) who know He is there will always find Him.  

Notice the subtle shades of green - the color that is the "heart" of the color spectrum - also associated with the "heart" or loving nature of our soul in spirituality.  The color known to be the all time favorite of our beloved Prophet (SAW).
